Staging is the use of carefully co-ordinated furniture, accessories, accents and other items in your home when you show it to potential buyers.

Think of staging as the "wardrobe" of your house. It's meant to project a certain "mood" to the audience-the people who will be viewing your home. Sure, it's possible to sell a home without staging. But even the best homes can benefit from it.

What kind of difference can staging make? In a survey conducted by Barb Schwarz, a U.S.-based realtor credited with inventing home staging, the process resulted in a 6.9% higher sale price vs. non-staged homes. And staged homes moved 50% faster!
